Khajuraho Group of Temples

Western Group of Temples
This is the main cluster and most visited area. Temples here are a mix of architectural detail, high platforms, and sculpted outer walls.
Main temples in this group:
- Lakshmana Temple: Known for detailed sculptures and balanced structure
- Kandariya Mahadeva Temple: Tallest temple in the complex, dedicated to Shiva
- Vishwanath Temple: Wide courtyard area and structured pillars
- Chitragupta Temple: Faces the sunset and has detailed panels
- Lakshmi Temple: Smaller temple with simple stone work
- Varaha Shrine: Sculpture of Varaha carved in a single large stone
This complex also hosts the light and sound show in the evening.

Southern Group of Temples
These temples sit a little away from the main complex, surrounded by open fields.

- Beejamandal Temple (Ruins)
Historical site believed to be an incomplete or damaged temple
